Otters Squash Academy Players shines at Indian Junior open 2016.

Trainees of the Otters Squash Academy bagged two titles at the Indian Junior Open, held from 31 August to 4 September 2016 at Jaipur.

Tushar Shahani played the best match of his career in the Boys Under-17 final to beat Chi Ho Chan, Hong Kong No-2 and Asia No-4 in a close 5 setter. Trailing all the way by losing the first and third game, and 6-8 down in the deciding fifth game, Tushar relied on his dependable error free strokeplay to perfection, beating Chan 11-9 in the fifth game. This is Tushar's first IJO title in several appearances!

Kaavya Bansal compensated herself for losing out on the Malaysian Junior Open title last week due to illness by taking the IJO Girls Under-11 title, losing just 27 points in 5 matches from first round to the finals! She beat top seed Swetha Sivakumar from Singapore 11-3, 11-1, 11-1 in the final.

Advait Adik proved he is on an upward trajectory since his dissapointment at the Asian Junior team selection in May. He had a closely contested five setter semi final with arch rival Prithvi Singh, losing 15-17 in the fifth game. Advait finished 4th in the Boys U-15 event.

Vivaan Shah finished 4th in the Boys Under-11 category.

Yash and Rutva makes India proud at Pioneer Cup 2016.

Juniors boys are making India proud. Yash Fadte from a Goa & Rutva Savant from Mumbai made India proud by their performances in Pioneer Cup 2016 which was held in Colonge, Germany.
Both of them had a tough draw with the first round against the 3/4th seed but they played well and had a good start in the tournament. Rutva Samant came 7th and Yash Fadte came 2nd in their respective age category. This is probably the best results for this year in this event.
